Ski & Winter

Ski and winter

South Tyrol is a paradise for winter sports enthusiasts!

Keen to carve down the perfectly groomed slopes on skis? How about snowshoeing or hiking through the untouched South Tyrolean countryside? How about gliding diagonally over the cross-country skiing trails, a ski tour in the pristine landscape, or perhaps the thrill of zipping down a sledging run with the kids?

But that’s not all: South Tyrol's 30 or so ski resorts boast sun-spoilt slopes for all levels of ability, award-winning ski schools, and cosy huts for refreshment.

The Dolomiti Superski skiing network, which connects a total of 1200 km of slopes in South Tyrol, is the world’s largest ski carousel. Skiing here is far more than just conventional downhill bliss: skiers head on adventurous journeys such as the Sellaronda ski circuit or the Gebirgsjägertour.

For fine family skiing par excellence, look no further than South Tyrol’s second largest skiing association, the Ortler Skiarena. No matter how you prefer to enjoy the winter here, the breathtaking views and unrivalled mountain panorama will always be with you.
