The Bruneck Castle is located on an easily accessible hill overlooking the town and watches over the buildings of the old town as if it still needed to protect the lives and safety of its residents. From the courtyard, the staircase of the tower leads to the upper rooms. In the section to the right are the princely rooms and to the left the flat of the administrator and originally also of the staff. The castle houses the Messner Mountain Museum "MMM Ripa" of the well-known climber Reinhold Messner.
The beautiful room has a wooden floor with drawings and is barrier-free (with assistance, because after the gate there is a quite steep rise).
