In the middle of the idyllic high valley of Vals, at 1,354 meters above sea level, the mountain air is clear and South Tyrolean flair meets Southeast Asian spirit: in the SILENA, your soulful hotel.

Inspiration and recreation run through the entire SILENA, derived from the yin and the yang. Two intentions, inseparable from each other. A fusion of two siblings with different interests. Simon and Magdalena. They combine nature and a soothing, individual ambience with lots of design.
SILENA is an experience for the senses: Fine structures, soft colours, warm wood, light natural stone and soothing light create a feeling of lightness and deep relaxation. Southeast Asian rituals, ceremonies or yoga clear the mind and create space for something new. Those who prefer to move directly in nature can remember what counts on a breath hike in the impressive Valser high moor.
The highlight is the extensive soulful spa with infinity pool, saunas, relaxation rooms and fireplaces. On the roof terrace you will find the 40 degree warm onsen pool. Relax in the hot water with a panoramic view of the mountain peaks. While the body experiences warmth, revitalization and harmony, all your senses are stimulated.
The concept, which was specially developed over the years for the lifelong dream of the two siblings, has also been transferred to a separate spa line, THE PURE SILENA. The signature treatments begin with the ritual of an Asian candle and end with the infusion of Vals alpine herbs.
In the kitchen, regional natural cuisine is combined with Southeast Asian influences to create soul food - the chefs love pleasure for the palate and the eye. The basis is formed by the products of the region: shaped by the sun and reflecting the power of the mountains. Carefully developing the natural taste of these fresh, good ingredients is the top priority. The chef gets his inspiration and flavors from all over the world. But it has to be good, sustainable and fair.
In the Southeast Asian tea corner in the bar area, exciting contrasts of light stone and dark wood, distance and width, cosiness and straightforwardness are expressed. It is the place where teas from Asia meet South Tyrolean herbal infusions. Where the feel-good secrets of South Tyrol and Southeast Asia come together. On the way there you encounter very special elements. Because the architecture is also devoted to the love of tea and is an interpretation of the classic tea path: the path to self-discovery and deceleration.
The design suites with a spa feeling and a contemporary touch are aesthetic retreats to take a deep breath. Here you will find an outdoor bathtub inspired by the traditional Japanese ofuro, heavenly beds and meditation lounges. For serenity, deceleration and fresh energy. The other studios and suites feature an open floor plan and bathroom and large window areas from which the exterior facade can be seen. The wooden surfaces made of bog oak and the wallpaper, which shows a moor landscape, underline the concept.
