White grape varieties, which account for 55% of the grape-growing area in South Tyrol, are harvested to make distinctive fine wines. For more than 100 years, classic and regional red grape varieties, in addition to the two autochthonous varieties Vernatsch and Lagrein, have been cultivated here and account for nearly 45% of the grape-growing area in South Tyrol.

Bikes are a great way for your guests to visit the vineyards. Three bike paths lead along the South Tyrolean Wine Road through the province’s largest wine-growing region.
